Do you want to know the best thing about this time of year? It’s the joy of the holidays. It kind of makes everything else melt away… sometimes a bit too much.
Speaking of Melting
Things can get kind of gloomy when your world is in a post-apocalyptic cluster-funk. That’s why we like to decorate a tree to make it a bit more festive.
Doc created this great string full of vials of toxic ooze that glows in several colors. We string it around the Christmas tree and it lights up.
One year, Bob accidentally smashed one of the vials and it melted his shirt clean off. He hasn’t worn a shirt since. I don’t know if he just likes going shirtless or if the whole thing made him afraid of shirts. With Bob it’s hard to tell. He doesn’t always listen to his brains.
Despite all that, we had a great time. That’s the joy of the holiday – overflowing so much you let the bad stuff just melt off your back.
The Joy of the Holidays
I hope you enjoy the joy of the holidays this holiday season. I hope you have fun with the people you care about most and make the most of what you have.
It doesn’t have to be difficult. After all, you don’t have to have a vial of toxic goo melt your clothes to enjoy all the wonder and excitement that the holidays bring. You just need to be open to kindness, love, and community.
It also doesn’t hurt to have a person like Bob around. He’s a blast, and, quite often, he’s safe to be around. At least as long as it’s not New Years. That’s a whole different ball of wax… and it’s toxic wax. I’m not sure where he gets it.
From all of us to all of you, enjoy the joy of the holidays. We hope you have a happy, healthy, and wonderful holiday season.
